 Faisal Al-Kohaji
 
  Position: QSCCB Chairman

Faisal Muhammad Al-Kooheji, Chairman of Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind, was born in 1988, totally blind. He was born with limited vision, which started to decline gradually until he lost the ability to read and write at the age of 13.

He graduated in 2011 from the Faculty of Law, Qatar University with a general degree of Excellent and he was the first on his class. He works currently as a Legal Counselor in the Legal Affairs Department at Maersk Oil Qatar. He is a participant in the Development Program for Qataris to assume leadership positions in the Maersk Oil Qatar.

Faisal joined QSCCB when it was established while he is a youngster, yet he was assigned to supervise males' activities in the center officially in 2012.

He represented the center in several forums and conferences in and outside Qatar, and he was entrusted to accomplish numerous leadership tasks in many events.

Additionally, he has several contributions related to people with disability, as he is a member in the 'Voluntary Committee  for Employing People with Disabilities', 'The Qatari Federation for the Sports of the Disabled', and 'People with Special Needs' Committee'.

Faisal is regarded as a prominent example and leadership model among Qatar university graduates, as he was chosen as guest of honor and leadership personality during the ceremony of honoring the distinguished persons and leaders in the Faculty of Law at Qatar University, 2014.

 
 Faisal Al-Meer
 
  Position: Board Member

Faisal Abdullah Al-Meer, Board Member and Financial Officer at Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind.

Faisal was born in 1987, and he is partially sighted (totally blind in the right eye, and suffers partial color blindness). He works at Qatar Chemical Company Ltd (Q-Chem), and is currently awarded a scholarship sponsored by Q-Chem to study Chemical Engineering at North Atlantic College in Qatar.

He is an activist with the people with disabilities in general, and the visually impaired in particular. His journey started as an associate member in QSCCB, then he started to undertake some voluntary tasks, until he was officially given the responsibility to supervise activities in the center in 2012. He is now serving as a board member because of his dedication to this field and his strong relation with the blind in the State of Qatar.

He has several contributions in different fields. At the media side, he was the presenter at some important ceremonies as well as being the CM of several seminars that tackled issues related to the people with disabilities at the State level. At the cultural and social side, he is a distinguished writer, as he transcribed several speeches delivered at formal ceremonies, and he edited some introductory videos about QSCCB. He had a prominent role in organizing and supervising the Arab Forum for Blind, which was held in Doha,  2012. He has also contributed in writing and preparing a set of worksheets for QSCCB in order to be presented at various forums outside Qatar. Additionally, He helped QSCCB to prepare for different official events and activities in Qatar, such as the National Day, National Sports Day, White Cane Day and the International Day for People with Disabilities.

He is also cover, with some other QSCCB members, QSCCB news and activities in the social media websites, like Twitter and Instagram.

 
 Abdullah Al-Buflasa
 
Position: Board Member

Abdulla Mohammed Al-Buflasa was born in 1988. He is Married and currently working as a Senior Health Promotion Officer in ASPETAR.He is a QSCCB Board-member. Abdulla is also a goal-ball player in Qatar Sport Federation for Special Needs.

Abdulla has a Bachelor in 'Physical Education', Qatar University (2006 – 2011).

He worked in Qatar National Bank as a Customer Service Employee (2010 – 2011), then moved to Aspire Academy to work as 'Students Athlete Administrator' (2012 – 2014). He works now as a Project Leader in 'Step Into Health In The Workplace”.

 He received several training certificates such as: 'Effective Communication Strategies & Avoiding Conflict', 'Introduction to Running Major Events Course', 'Referee Course of Handball', etc.

 Abdulla has participated in many sports events such as 'Incheon 2014 Asian Para-Games, South Korea 2014 (Goal-ball)', 'Arab Open Games, Jordan 2014 (Goal-ball)', 'World University Competition, Thailand (Athletics)', 'Gulf competition, Qatar 2006 (Athletics, Gold medal in Discus throw and shot pot)', 'Asian Para-Games, Malaysia 2006 (Athletics, Bronze medal in Discus throwing)',' Arab-African Games, Tunisia 2005 (Athletics, Silver medal in Discus throwing)', 'Islamic Games, Jeddah 2005 (Goal-ball)' and 'Arab games, Algeria 2004 (Athletics)'.

 
 Mona Al-Kuwari
 
  Position: Board Member

Mona Dasmal Mubarak Al- Kuwari was born in 1981. She had her High School Certificate from Khalifa Secondary School for Girls in 2001.

 Mona worked in Qatar Social and Cultural Center for Blind as "Activities and Programs Supervisor" during the years 2007-2010. Then she worked in Traffic Media and  Awareness Department in Qatar Ministry of Interior. Now she is a Board Member in Qatar Social and Cultural Center for Blind.

 Mona is a member in "Qatar Red Crescent Society Women Forum", and "Akoon Team" of Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs.

 Mona had several courses in Qatar and abroad, such as 'Symmetry Skills Training Course' 2014, 'Art of Dealing With Teenagers' 2014, 'Rights of Persons with Disabilities in National Development' organized by The Supreme Council for Family Affairs 2013, 'Gulf friendship first Forum for Blind' organized by Friendship Association of the Blind 2014, 'Emotional Intelligence Course' organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs 2014, 'Problem-Solving Skills' organized by Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs 2014, and many other courses.

 Mona likes reading, walking and swimming. Her life mission is to "Assist the blind to reach a high level of education in all aspects of life, and to have independent personalities".

 
 Kholoud Bushraida
 
  Position: Board Member

Kholoud is blind since birth. She is a graduate majored in English and Mass Communication.

 She works as a script writer at Aljazeera Children Channel.

 She is QSSCB Vice-Chairman and Board Member.
